The fall run - "General Patton" - will be a group of Freedom Rangers, a well-known meat breed that has grown to be one of our all-time favorites to raise. Not only are they amazing in a frying pan, they rank near the best for roasting and rotisserie grilling.

And since this run will be finishing up right around October, it'll be a great time to get your winter chicken stock a-rolling. The broth you can get from these birds is out of this world.

As these birds take longer to dress out (10-12 weeks), they're a little higher priced, however the quality is well-worth the few extra dollars.
